QuicK VPN (“QuicK VPN,” “we,” “us”) is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) app for Android and iOS, operated by Garima Agrawal, an individual developer, based in India. This policy explains what information the app and its backend collect, why, and what your choices are.
QuicK VPN works by routing your device’s internet traffic through an encrypted WireGuard® tunnel to a server you choose. Because a VPN by its nature sits between your device and the internet, we think it’s worth being unusually specific about exactly what we do and don’t record — see sections 2 and 3 below.
1. Account information
When you first open the app, it silently creates an anonymous, app-installation-scoped account so you can start using the VPN without providing any personal information. This account is tied to that installation of the app, not to your device as a whole — if you uninstall and reinstall the app (or install it on another device), a new, separate anonymous account is created and is not linked to the previous one. If you later choose to create an account — for example, to subscribe to a paid plan across devices — we collect the email address and password you provide. Passwords are stored as salted cryptographic hashes; we cannot see or recover your actual password.
2. Connection metadata
To operate the VPN service itself, our servers necessarily process: which server location you connect to, and when a connection starts and ends; the temporary internal VPN IP address assigned to your device for that session (this is separate from your real public IP address); and the public half of a cryptographic key pair your device generates for each connection. The private half of that key pair is generated and stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us.
If you subscribe, purchase records are handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. We receive a subscription status (active, trialing, expired, cancelled) and enough information from Apple or Google to verify your purchase — we do not receive or store your payment card details, which Apple and Google handle directly.
Apple and Google may separately collect device and diagnostic information under their own privacy policies when you download or update the app through their stores. That collection is governed by Apple’s and Google’s own privacy policies, not this one.
3. What we deliberately don’t collect
We do not log or have visibility into: the websites you visit, apps you use, or files you transfer while connected; your DNS queries or browsing history; the contents of your internet traffic, which WireGuard encrypts end-to-end between your device and the server you’re connected to; your precise real-world location (a VPN server’s region is not your location); or advertising identifiers — the app does not integrate any advertising or third-party analytics SDKs as of this writing. If crash reporting or analytics are added in a future version, this policy will be updated to reflect it before that change ships.
4. How we use information
We use the information above to establish and maintain your VPN connection, authenticate your account and restore your session, verify and manage subscriptions, detect abuse or violations of our terms, and provide customer support when you contact us.
5. Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with: infrastructure providers that host our VPN servers and backend on our behalf (currently including providers in the United Kingdom and France — see section 10); Apple and Google, to process subscription purchases and verify receipts if you subscribe; and law enforcement or regulators, only where we are legally compelled to do so, and only to the extent of the connection metadata described in section 2 — we have no traffic content to disclose because we don’t collect it.
6. Data retention
Connection metadata (section 2) is currently retained indefinitely, tied to your account. We do not yet run an automatic deletion or expiry process for this data; it persists until you ask us to delete it (see section 8). Account information — including anonymous accounts that never upgraded to a full account — is likewise retained indefinitely until you ask us to delete it; we do not currently delete anonymous accounts based on inactivity. Subscription records are retained as required for tax, accounting and legal purposes after they end.
7. Security
We use the WireGuard protocol to encrypt traffic between your device and our servers, and encrypt data in transit between the app and our backend using TLS. Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can’t guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you; withdraw consent or object to certain processing; request a copy of your data in a portable format; and lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, including deleting your account and its associated data, contact us at support@nexgen-group.in. Account and data deletion is currently handled by our support team on request rather than through a self-service control in the app.
9. Children’s privacy
QuicK VPN is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International data transfers
Our VPN servers are located in multiple countries so you can choose a nearby connection point, currently including the United Kingdom and France; using a server in a given country routes your VPN traffic through that country. Our backend and database currently run on infrastructure located in the United Kingdom. Where we transfer personal information (such as account data) across borders, we take reasonable steps to protect that information in transit and at rest. This section will be revisited if backend infrastructure is added in additional countries.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “last updated” date above and, where required, notify you in the app.
